Once upon a time, there was a little girl.
This girl, was charming, gracious, and loving.
She held her dreams up, as if they were a glass pearl.
And through that pearl, they waited, gleaming.
Her mother told her to be great, follow her desires.
Her father told her to hold her head high and go to college.
So she kept working hard, and burning her tires.
Trying fill her head with simple knowledge.
Somewhere along the line she slipped.
While walking along the edge.
And from her hand ripped-
The pearl made of glass.
She had a look of fright,
Painted on her face.
She tried to find a light,
So she could find her place.
Hanging off the edge, trying to hold on,
She looked for some hope, but couldn’t find,
She knew it was simple, easy, and wrong.
So soon she lost her mind.
Given the right amount of time she soon let go.
From the edge.
Falling into who really knows?
Over the edge.
Over the edge she fell into darkness.
Off of the world she fell, falling faster.
So she became cold, stubborn, and heartless.
Obeying her master.
He commanded her slip.
He commanded her to fall.
He doesn’t own lips,
But he commands us all.
Who rebels against this villain?
Who oppresses their tirade
The great gods of old? Helen?
These people were known, before memory fade.
Soon things got worse.
For this little girl.
She was under a curse,
Without her glass pearl.
Speaking of, I’ve been so forgetting.
Falling for a while now, was her glass pearl.
It was charming, gracious, and loving-
Just like that girl.
Almost toward the bottom now,
You’ll never guess the end.
Don’t ask me how,
I have no information to send.
This amazing girl held out her hand,
To catch this glass pearl.
Despite her masters command,
Who tortured the girl.
Falling for a while, the pearl was keen,
To return to its true master.
The thing its always seen.
For it was no longer falling faster.
Up into the sky, the girl caught the pearl,
And with that the world went down.
Upside down that is, and for the girl?
So did her frown!
Once a while ago, there was a little girl.
This girl, was charming, gracious, and loving.
She held her dreams up, as if they were a glass pearl.
And through that pearl, they waited, gleaming.

Silent Opinion
We speak without moving our lips
To match the voice coming from yours
In the back of our minds we ponder
If speaking too much bores.
We present our silent opinion
Silently, to prevent harm
Coming upon us,
Faster than a falling-
Stars fall out of the sky,
As the house is shaken,
From daddy’s shouting,
From mommy’s crying
To my silent opinion
To match the voice coming from yours
In the back of our minds we ponder
If speaking too much bores.
We present our silent opinion
Silently, to prevent harm
Coming upon us,
Faster than a falling-
Stars fall out of the sky,
As the house is shaken,
From daddy’s shouting,
From mommy’s crying
To my silent opinion

Hoarding
i’m hoarding.
hiding every little thing i can
into every nook every cranny
until there is no more room
to hoard upon these walls
walls which hold me up
secrets are like drywall
painted stucco to distract
from all the imperfections
hoarded into my walls.

There is a hole in my glass
There is a hole in my glass
it was once half-full
now it’s half-empty
that glass is an ass
that ass is a glass
and that glass has a hole
I’d rather my glass be whole
Stupid fucking glass-hole
That glass-hole is smart
It’s getting out while it can
But now I’m terribly thirsty
Dumb empty glass
There is a hole in my dumb glass
But I’ve bought a shotgun
I’m going to shoot you in the glass
Because you’re a relentless ass
There is a hole in your relentless glass
And your glass is now bleeding
You won’t remember this later
After your glass stops beating
